Here's My Two Cents

Texas Governor Rick (Pray for the sick because that is the only health insurance they have) Perry who hates Obamacare so much he is willing to leave millions of federal dollars on the table,  has come up with his own health care plan.  It’s called “NoCare”.  Tricky Rick said not to worry, he is going to solve the health care issue in the special session. He will have the legislature pass a bill making it illegal to get sick.

The gun nut’s “Come and take it away freedom” group decided to have a rally on the Fourth of July in Houston which is the fifth largest metro area in the US consisting of 6.18 million people.  They had 25 people show up. I am still laughing. They didn’t have enough gun powder to blow their noses.

I don’t think we are very smart about education and I am beginning to believe our education system may be the biggest ponzi scheme yet. A ponzi scheme is where those at the top get rewarded and everybody else gets screwed.  A recent study said college tuition is going up about a thousand dollars a year.  My question is why?

They haven’t built any new buildings lately and if they have it’s because some wealthy alum has given them millions of dollars to build it so he could have his name on it.
The students buy their own books and they sure as hell are not raising teachers and professors salaries.  Most of the major universities are extremely wealthy so what is causing the cost to go up?

I don’t hear anyone questioning this and then I come across this little tidbit.  A group is set to write, in secret, new education standards in the next five months.  This group is made up of 60 individuals of whom ONE is a class room teacher.  The others are made up of people associated with test-makers and test-publishers.  Gee, I wonder why we are falling behind the rest of the world.

When the whole point of your political party is to prevent the President and the government to operate, when does that become an act of treason? And have the T-bonehead Republicans crossed that line?

And finally if you’re thinking about trying an online dating service, here is some info for you.  If you are looking for a roll in the hay, you might try Farmers Only.com, if you are looking for a singing partner, try e-Harmony. com and if you would like an imaginary lover you might try Christian Mingle.com.

Stay tuned for future adventures.
