So perennial presidential loser Rick( I need to be in a) Santorum is coming to Texas this week to explain why women don’t have the right to an abortion.  How nice of him to take time off and…oh wait, he doesn’t do anything.  They kicked his ass out of the Senate six years ago. Rick is a walking, talking example of why women need to have a choice. After some of the crap this idiot has spewed out over the years, it wouldn’t surprise me if his mama wasn’t having second thoughts.

Little Jr. Senaterrible Teddy (I will say anything to get on the 6 o’clock news)Cruz had this to say about Texas Governor Rick( I really am dumb enough to run for President again) Perry not running for re-election.  “Gov. Perry led the Great State of Texas during a period that will forever be etched in history for unprecedented job creation and economic growth.” Sorry Ted but this is what Governor Snake Oil has actually done to Texas:

He allowed Texas to become the nation’s worst polluter.

He executed a likely innocent man and impeded an investigation into the matter.

He actively sought to dismantle Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid.

He consistently backed legislation to restrict women’s reproductive rights.

He demonized LGBT Texans and worked to increase legal discrimination against them.

He backed nullification of federal laws and even raised the prospect of secession.

He refused to let the federal government provide healthcare for low-income Texans, despite the highest rate of uninsured residents in the country.

He vetoed bipartisan Equal Pay legislation to protect Texas women

He called for repeal of the 16th and 17th Amendments to the U.S. Constitution, to end popular election of Senators and the federal income tax.

And here is the real inside on why Governor Snake Oil is pushing the abortion bill so hard. According to the Houston Chronicle, his own sister and her company stand to profit if the abortion bill becomes law.  Simply put, Milla Perry Jones sits on the board of the United Surgical Partners Corporation. They currently operate 420 surgical centers in the state. Closing 37 of the 42 clinics in Texas significantly eliminates competition and gives the company the ability to offer and perform abortion procedures at a higher cost. This means low income women will have to pay more to get an abortion and Rick Perry’s sister will profit from it. Ain’t sibling love grand?
