Some Of This and Some Of That

 

So now we know what many of us suspected for years.  Donald Jackass Trump is nothing more than a con man, grifter and tax cheat.  His tax returns prove that he is without a doubt one of the worse and dumbest businessmen in America. Dimwit Donnie has burned through millions of dollars in bank loans and daddy’s money and is now up to his bad comb-over in debt. He once wrote off $70,000 for hair styling.

If you are wondering about the comparison between President Grifter and Biden, here it is: Joe and Jill Biden paid $3.7 million dollars in taxes in 2017 while Trump paid $750 dollars. This disparity will make no difference to his loyal Trump cult members who still believe he is the fictional character that he played on The Apprentice.  

 

Let’s take a look at who Trumpypoo and Moscow Mitch want to put on the Supreme Court.  Amy (Handmaiden) Coney Barrett has only been a judge for three years and they want to give her a lifetime job.  That’s like making the receptionist the C.E.O of a major company because she has great phone etiquette. Amy doesn’t believe in the separation of church and government and has a long history of believing that religious beliefs should prevail. Abortion, health care and LGBTQ rights will be in big trouble.

She and her husband belong to a religious group called People of Praise. It grew out of a Catholic renewal movement back in the 60’s that adopted Pentecostal practices such as speaking in tongues and the belief in prophecy and divine healing.  They also teach that the husband has the authority to be the absolute head of the household. The men in the group are called “Heads” and the women are “Handmaidens”.  

Her history proves she will be a judgmental justice on the court. In other words, she is the exact opposite of Notorious RBG and I predict that she will be known Insidious ACB. I am not surprised that she can speak in tongues, I must admit I was able to do that several times back in my heavy drinking days.

Politicians, Preachers and Pimps

 

The usual disclaimer. There are no stories about pimps. I just like the title, but of the three occupations, I do believe pimps are the only ones who actually provide a service. 

Here’s a real blast from the past.  (Well not really a blast, more like a low-level fart.)  Former Congressmoron Michele (I’m happy but my husband’s really gay) Bachmann crawled out from under her rock and said this week that if Biden wins the country will turn into a communist nation. She then said there would be six more weeks of bald-faced lies and crawled back under her rock.

 

Another faux-Christian hard at work: Texas pastor Robert (I'm a real asshole who believes in a vengeful God) Henderson of Waco, Texas said that he prayed for God to kill RBG. He said he prayed for God to get Trump elected and it worked then so why not give it another shot. I really do not think that prayer works that way or President Dumbass would be doing social distancing six feet under right now.   Also, I would have won the lottery years ago.

 

 

Texas conservative Republican moron, Steve ( I’m so narrow minded I can see through a key hole) Hotze, has filed a suit to block the extension of early voting in Texas.  The extension was signed by Texas Republican Governor Gregg (Hell On Wheels) Abbott.  So you have boneheads suing boneheads. Isn’t that what you call DOUBLE BONEHEADED?

 

Dr. Fauci bitch-slapped Rancid Rand Paul during a hearing this week. Rancid Ron who plays a doctor in the Senate was outclassed, outsmarted and out diagnosed by a real doctor.

 

 

Wisconsin Senator Ron (I take rubles) Johnson’s big report was supposed to be a big bombshell on Hunter Biden.   It turns out the report only blew up in Russian Ron’s face.

 

Ted (Creepy) Cruz blocked a resolution to honor RBG. He didn’t want RBG’s last request of wanting to be replaced after the election in the statement. Well yeah, you can’t have that in the official record while they are trying to jam through a new Justice. Tactless Ted proved once again what a slimy, sleazy piece of shit that he is.

 

 

The grand jury verdict released this week only indicted one police officer. Louisville Police officer. Brett (Barney Fife) Hankison was indicted for wanton endangerment.  I do believe Brett was wanton to kill someone but missed. Unfortunately, his fellow officers didn’t and of course got to go scot free. My feelings are that there is nothing grand about this grand jury. Kentucky Attorney General Daniel (Above the Law) Cameron directed this whole fiasco.  Little Camy is Moscow Mitch’s protégé and I’m sure just following orders.

 

 

Missouri Governor Mike (Show me and I still will not believe it.) Parson, who believes that a mask should not be a part of anyone’s wardrobe, tested positive for Covid-19 this week. I understand his I.Q. test came back negative.

Harrraump Day

 The biggest hump on  the planet is still in the oval office. 

Donald (Little DICK-tator) Trump wasn’t satisfied with only 18 women accusing him of sexual assault, so he has decided to piss off and offend another 100 million women by jamming through a Supreme Court Justice to replace the Notorious RBG which will invariably put Roe V. Wade in jeopardy,  endanger the Affordable Care Act that includes those pre-existing conditions he claims to champion, and give him a get-out-of-jail-card, just in case he needs one. I understand he is torn between nominating Judge Judy and Judge Reinhold. Of course, I’m sure his henchman Moscow Mitch will give him some help. I hear Mitch is leaning toward Judge Dredd or Judge Doom. All of this only proves that after denying Obama a chance to appoint a Supreme Court Justice, if a Republican’s lips are moving, he’s lying.

It is pretty easy to tell who the Trump cult members are even when they are not wearing their MAGA (Morons And Goobers Association) hats. They are the ones NOT wearing masks.

 

I read where the Emmy awards were on last week.  Between Netflix, Amazon Prime and Starz I hardly watch regular TV.  Did Miami Vice win anything?

When I do watch regular TV, I mute all the commercials, so I never know what they are saying. I have been seeing this one commercial where different men are holding up various vegetables like pickles or cucumbers or carrots and looking at them funny. Then at the end a sign pops up that says, “ask your doctor.” …. About what? Gardening?

 

Tropical storm Beta decided to visit Houston this week. Fortunately, Beta wasn’t much of a blowhard, but has dropped a ton of rain on the city.  I hope all my Houston friends are safe, sound and dry. After living in Houston for over thirty years and spending four years researching and writing SURGE, I always pay close to attention to hurricane season. We also have friends in California and Oregon who could use some of that rain to help with the wildfires. I think maybe Mother Nature is going through menopause. Man, climate change is a bitch.

 

A friend of mine passed this week. Roy Head. He was a great talent and someone I had the privilege to work with.  Roy and I met in college in 1961. We kept running into each other through the years and in the late 80’s I got to work with him in the studio. I will miss him.

Bubbles From My Soapbox

 

I haven’t stepped into the whole police brutality thing, but after watching repeated murders committed live on video where cops are doing the murdering, here is where I am.  I think being a policeman is one of the hardest jobs on the planet. I sure as hell couldn’t do it, but if they can’t handle it, then they need to change professions.  Working in the circus shoveling animal shit comes to mind. I hear people say they think that there are only a few bad apples. I thought that too, but now I think the whole damn orchard is rotten. Yes, there are some good policemen, not sure how many, but the problem is their silence puts them in with the bad ones. So what happens is that all of them seem bad. I get it that it is hard for them to say something against their fellow officers, but if they haven’t got the balls to stand up for what’s right, then they don’t need to be in that job.

I am all for peaceful protest because this situation needs as much attention as we can bring.  It is clearly time to address the racist brutality that has plagued our police force and other positions of power.  I believe the inherent problem is that the job of a policeman attracts too many of the wrong people to it. Racist and bullies find police work a good environment to commit these kinds of acts and offenses and should be fixed from the inside where it lives. 

I am certainly not smart enough to know how to solve this problem, but I do have some ideas.  First of all, I think more intense and thorough physiological testing should be done to weed out the wrong people. I know that for smaller communities there is not a lot of testing for hiring police. They don’t have the funds or manpower for such things, but I think that a national data base should be set up so that police who have been fired or were written up for bad behavior can’t get another job in a different city or state.  I believe once a bad cop, always a bad cop.

I also think it is unfair to send police into situations they are not trained to handle.  I believe professional mental health care workers should be used in most domestic situations, not the police. As a kid growing up, I always thought the police were the good guys, that has changed for me.  I still have the absolute upmost respect for the law and damn little for cops. 

  

 

 

Here is something I just can’t wrap my head around. I keep seeing surveys where President Dumbass has a high approval rating on the economy.  Not only are we headed toward a major depression, and were even before the pandemic, but he is a bonehead who went bankrupt in every business he ever attempted.  The man went bankrupt running a casino….A Freaking CASINO.

I am truly tired of the media and too many people acting like Wall Street represents the economy.  It is main street that represents what is really happening with the economy.  92% of all the stock is owned by 10% of population.  How is this an indicator of how the average American pays the rent or puts food on the table?
